 DIABETIC FOOTCARE

Foot care is an important part of diabetes management. Regular neurological and vascular assessment is very important. We do a specific diabetic foot assessment and advise you on how often you need to be assessed and treated by a podiatrist. Education about diabetes and how to look after your feet are an absolute must if you have this condition. Your Podiatrist will provide you their expertise in this field and you will fully understand your feet and the possible complications associated with Diabetes. We will work alongside your doctor, or any other health professional who is helping you with your diabetes health, to co-ordinate a treatment plan.

 INGROWN NAILS

Ingrown toenails can be extremely painful, difficult to manage and pose a significant risk for infection. An initial consultation is required to assess the severity of the problem and often conservative treatment in this consultation can resolve the issue. If severe though, a procedure known as a Partial Nail Avulsion (PNA), done under local anaesthesia maybe required. Surgery appointments are one-hour duration and your Podiatrist will discuss the process in depth at your initial consultation, particularly post-surgery management which is critical to fast healing.
