ASSESSMENT
To diagnose the injury correctly, the cause or mechanism of injury must be found. Initially a thorough 45 minutes assessment of your biomechanical structure and function is required.
A range of techniques are used to assess:
- Muscle function (Range of motion & strength)
- Joint function (Range & quality of motion)
- Musculoskeletal alignment (Static posture)
- Musculoskeletal function (Dynamic assessments)
- Gait analysis
- Footwear condition/suitablity (Please bring the footwear you commonly use)
TREATMENT OPTIONS
Injuries are often due to poor biomechanics but can be easily improved with:
- Correct footwear
- Custom Orthotics
- Joint Support (Rigid Taping & Kinesio Taping)
- Exercise Prescription (Stretching and Strengthening)
- Musculoskeletal Function Improvement (Kinesio Taping & Trigger Point Dry Needling)
